In DS9 " The Way Of the Warrior " The Defiant is sent to meet up with the Cardassian ship to escort the Cardassian government to DS9, when the Klingons attack the defiant , Sisko orders to attack the 2 BOPs, know this is the part that confuses me, the Defiant disables the first BOP with pulse phasers, then it goes for the 2nd, but right before the camera turns, you see a green torpedo come out of the back of the Klingon BOP, now I always thought the BOP whether it was class D12 / D13 / B'Rel / K'Vort / D'Tai / the torpedo system was at the front of the nose section, and the disruptors were fired from the only to cannons in the front, basically its weapons are forward based but if you dont believe me, drop an email and ill mail you the part in which Im refering to. Its actually a green torpedo come from what I think is right below the BOP, now I kow its a BOP because Work said it, he didnt say Brel class like in the TNG episode where the ferengi took over the enterprise, can anyone confirm this??? Im sorwie if I rambled on its just that if theres a torpedo system anywhere in the back of the BOP class, its going to change everything in my mod, I never thought or even seen a torpedo bay back there lol, let me know guys and gals, thanks

well,,, the only possibility is a modified Bird of Prey, specially created with rear firing photons which is so extremely unlikely,,, that it's most definitely not true... other wise,, it's a screw up by the crew,,,

I wouldn't worry too awful much about it,,,

lol lol, I know its funny, and wierd, but Im looking at the episode over and over, I cant get over it, aft torps

hmm,, just a thought,, where is the second Bird of Prey when this happens? maybe it could be a torp from it, lol

I thought of that as well lol lol, it was 3 BOP in that seen, 1 disabled, it started rolling under the 1st one, actually it spinned out of control, but I pause the seen but the image is blurred, but I know for a fact its that ship because there that flash of light that comes from the torp, the engines section of the BOP flashes green right before it shoots out and hits the defiant

If the movie files are in a format that , well, if they are not a DVD, then you could use Movie Maker2 to play it frame frame.

Good idea, im importing the file in, its in avi, itll take about 45 minutes but its worth to know it

What you have here is one of many moments when the Television series meanders from the "Bible" of Amarillo Designs "Starfleet Battles".

The BOP fired a Green Torpedo from a rear facing launcher for no other reason than the production crew thought it made for a nifty little fight scene.

Since TNG the writers have been very slack when it comes to Starship Combat.  It was bye bye Disruptors, bye bye Plasma Torpedoes, Phasers and Photons for everyone.

Only with DS 9 did they begin to pay a little more attention to detail with the Dominion War.

If, however, you would prefer a more "Trek Consciensious" explanation, the Defiant was only fighting one true Klingon BOP when a breach in the Space Time Continuem allowed a Sophisticated Evil Klingon BOP from an alternate future to come back in time and fire it's aft torpedo at the Defiant.
