SFC2 OP Fleet Command ??

In SFC2 OP Fleet command pop up menu, toward the top left of your screen is where all the ships you command are at, I know the maximum ship you can buy when playing the campaign is 3 but why are there more slots, 3 more to be exact, and when you capture ships you can have four or five I have tested this, my question is , is it possible to change something in the game to allow to us to purchase more than 3 ships, the game can handle it because like i said early, when i capture ships I do fine with more than 3 ships, is it possible to change this function or is it hardcoded??

When you write script with FMSE for EAW you can have 6. I'm not sure how EagleEye software did it. The API limits you to 3 on a team, as far as I know, when writing a script. So, I guess that the # of ships allowed is not hardcoded into the game, but coded into the script/API in some way.

in EAW if you capture a ship it becomes available for use by your side, instead of just immediately disengaging like it did in SFC1.

Well, scripting I know nothing about, I guess this will be another crappy problem on my crappy problems with SFC list, if it were possible to command more than 3 ships, it would be fantastic, atleast with 6 you could call it a minifleet, 3 ships is soooooo arghhhhh!!

Due to the nature of the game, many races have a hell of a time effectivly operating more than one ship, while other races find multi-ship fleets simple to operate.
If you do figure out how to allow for 4-6 ship fleets, the Mirak will love you, The Lyrans will hate you, and us Rommies... Well... Being in polite company, we wont discuss what we'll do to ya.

Yes the Lyran will hate me, but to hell with them lol lol, if this ever happenes that is being able to operate over 3 ships, at least 6, thats all you could see in the 6 slots, I think people would be happy, i know I would, many people can handle 3 or more, i could, that is my computer can lol

Actually, the 3 ship limit isnt that unrealistic.  And yes I know that Taldren has made a bit of a misnomer in calling it "fleet" command, after all when we hear fleet we are thinking about alot of ships right? Carriers, battleships, cruisers, destroyers and escort ships right?  What you are really in command of is a "squadron" and a 3 ship limit for that isnt to unrealistic just my 2 credits.

Exactly, it isnt unrealistic,  but maybe somehow someone can make this right
