Topic: SFC:OP Changing Resolution

I am terribly embarrassed to ask this since I have owned this game for 3 years...I just uninstalled and reinstalled OP to apply the new patch, and now I can't change the resolution. I seem to remember some work-a-round to change the resolution but I can't remember what. Can someone please help?

if you change the resolution by the setupMFC in the OP directory it will work, for some reason the shortcut one the programs menu dosent work.

Or you could DL this:

EZini allows you to change all kinds of settings in SFC with one quick application, including resolution.

Or you can go into the sfc.ini file under [3d] and change it.  I believe these are correct:

lowres = 0 (800x600)
lowres = 1 (640x480)
lowres = 3 (1024x768)
lowres = 4 (1200x960)???
lowres = 5 (1600x1200)???

I keep mine on 3.  I've never tried 4 or 5, and I believe 2 does not work at all.

i think sfc plays best at 1024x768,any higher resolutions arent preferable on 17" monitors.maybe in 5 years when i got 1 25" monitor i ll try higher resolutions with sfc lol

OP also supports 1600x1200 res... in EZ-ini, if your monitor will support 1600x1200 you can set it there... or just open SFC.ini file with notepad and edit

the above list is wrong... lowres=5 is 1280x1024

using the in game screen red editor, or the utility that came with game, that limits you to a max of 1280x1024, but the game does support 1600x1200 and that is the setting I use on my 15" monitor on my laptop.. crystal clear view, especially with a 100hz refresh rate.
