Topic: Windows XP CD Problem (Read 1296 times)

My CDROM in Windows XP (recently upgraded) is I:. I can install the program, but the BETA Patch won't install (it says "please insert CD into Drive H:). Drive H is my CDRW - and I definately installed it from the I: Drive....what could be going on here??

i had the same problem sorta, i could install the game from my DVD drive(F) but when i ran the patch it said place disk into drive (E) which is my CDRW..so i had to reinstall the game from my CDRW so the patch would work.. freakin funny isnt it

Well, I had the same problem. I mean, I installed the game using a drive and then during the patch install it asked me to put the CD in other drive. I did so and everythig went well......it is weird....

Sorry but I cannot help you. Silly question: Have you tried placing the CD in the other drive ? It work for me.....
