Those aren't really my 'jurisdiction' since they were designed by fellow modders (Cleeve and Knox). It's a personal rule of mine not to tamper with other's creations except on a few rare occasions (not counting stock ships of course). I do, however, have plans for my own versions of the X-Ships which I'll get to eventually.

What exactly constitutes an X ship? Weaponry, style/design, both? I'm wondering, because I have designs floating in my head, but can't really classify them.

WZ, can't wait to see more of your fantastic work. My only nitpick is your release pics...beautiful they are but my poor, slow 56k starts puking from the strain of d/ling the pics. I know, I know, time to get BROADBAND!! Had dsl, lost dsl, want dsl, will get dsl.

    In SFB historical terms X-ships were developed to get around the Organian edict that Cruisers were the largest Vessel that a race could build after the General war or andromedan war. The races developed x-phasers and heavy torps to the point where the Organians feared that a battleship or dreadnought armed with X-weapons could anhilate a races fleet and send the alpha and beta quadrants into a state of permanent war. So the races packed the most power and weapon hardpoints on the cruisers destroyers and frigates that they could an x-ships were born.

   I've always thought of x-ships as being TMP Technology even though ADB is not licenced to do TMP ships.  But with new design styles coming it is interesting to see what another persons take on X-technology is.

So do I Mackie - Cleeve and Knox designed those ships as guest modelers on OP for Taldren. Even if they're 'stock', they're still technically their models and designs.
