What IF the IKV Hood were a Ulysses Class?

In my corner of the Trek Universe I always liked the idea of the USS Hood being captured and converted as a Klingon ship. Atrahasis did a GREAT job doing the Connie version this idea was based on. However, I began wondering what a Ulysses class IKV Hood MIGHT look like even since I played the skirmish "The Mighty Hood Goes Down."

BTW: I figured out how to incorporate Ganymad's roll bar textures on WZ45's EXCELLENT USS Babylon. I like this retexture MUCH better now.



Now I just need Ganymad's and Redragon's permission to use their textures before I can release this version.

Back to the IKV Hood, I LOVE  WZ45's SuvwI' Qeh and used textures from that to come up with this. The deflector is from the USS Dawnstar on Atheorhaven's site:



I like it and I am using Atrahasis' D-10B for the Hydranized IKV Anarchist...



Well this was also a kind of homage to WZ45. Note the red Impulse engines use the Suvie textures.



Now for WZ45 to weigh in on this WIP...

This IKV Hood idea of mine here looks kind of undergunned. What about concealable 'pop up' disruptor turrets? A visual scan might not reveal them until it was too late....

Again this is a WIP... I got to fix the saucer windows too!

While this is all well and good... And it's good, it always strikes me as a littl odd when another race captures a ship then spends ages "repainting" it.....

I'm sure it would make a much more effective "first strike" weapon if they kept it looking the same...

Just a thought

At any rate this idea is based on real life situations. In the past, many navies during wartime captured ships from rival nations and incorporated them into their navies.

I hope you don't mean the first Ulysses class retexture or the IKV Hood concept.

Again the Klingonized Ulysses is STILL a WIP

Suggestions on improvements would be nice too.

Thank you for clarifying you statement. Its really OK if you didn't like this Ulysses converted a la IKV Hood, LOL. I can take constructive criticism. Afterall, not everybody likes everything that gets posted here on these forums and thats fine with me too. Infinite Diversity In Infinite Combinations...

WZ45 gave me his approval, now I need Redragon's for use of his Dawnstar deflector.

OK, I fixed the rectangle window bars on the saucer edge and am MUCH happier now. I have a few other tweaks I want to do next, nothing major though as I don't want to overdue it and ruin the 'flavor' of the ship.

Anybody have a current address for Ganymad? I sent him an e-mail but it was bounced as address not found. I have e-mailed him several times in the past year though....
