SuvwI'Qeh Class Command Cruiser
« on: September 12, 2003, 12:33:28 am »
This is the next in the Klingon lineup, the three engine Warrior's Anger cruiser from KA. I painted her in the style of Kronos One with a brown/red/dark green color scheme and added in a few K'tinga style details since this ship is supposed to be a refit (all be it a major one) of a stock K'tinga and the original KA version had almost no similarities with the D7 hull.

Hi WZ
Very nicely done I like the shape that this ship is taking not bloated but lean and mean like what  a klingon Vessel should be I bid 10,000 quatloos on this ship.

There's an old saying, "Looking like it's moving while it's just standing still." This one looks like the Ferrari of D7s

Question for WZ. Are you planning on hosting bridge commander versions of your ships on your site as well, or sfc only?

I'm not one for converting ships to games that I never play (aside from SFC) and BC seems to have a larger workload as far as modding ships goes, at least if you want everything done just right. I might convert a few of my ships over eventually but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

She is snaz-e!

Can't wait to get home and add her to my Klingon fleet. She's gonna be leading an attack on on some Rommies I think!

I was refering to those converted by others. I know there is atleast a W'ked out there. I thought your TNG constitution was as well.

I wasn't aware of anyone converting the W'ked (nice of them to tell me in advance), and the TNG Constitution is my outdated version (last I checked anyways). I never approved the spec and hardpoint layouts for it so that combined with it being old are reasons I'm not hosting it.

Heh, if you want something done right....

Well, The Wked is at bcfiles under klingons (obviously). I may take the dreadnought you posted above, I dunno, depends on if I am in the mood for klingons. Alien hardpoints can be dificult if you have limited gun placements (looks like 3 torp tubes and a foreward phaser on this one-nobody ever adds side, dorsal/ventral or other aux weapon ports to their D7/ktinga variants...lol)

Anyways, If I decide to pick something up of yours, you'll know about it well before it is released.

Yes - got in a post before KF! LOL

very nice ship, I've never been very fond at all of the very eccentric Qo'noS Wa' paint scheme myself - I mean what is a Klingon doing painting his ship white and red, and then putting gold bits on it! That really bugged me about that ship. Oh well The Suvwi'Qeh is a great ship and this is a great version of her. K - off to download now.

Hey WickedZombie!

What's next on your list?

VL - Probably the same reason Starfleet painted the Enterprise B green and white - to make it easier to target in battle.

Seriously though, I think it's just to distinguish from the other run of the mill K'tingas, it was the Chancellor's ship afterall and you know how those presidential types like big flashy vehicles.

As for what's next on the list, I'm not entirely sure but it'll most likely be a Klink ship.

I really like it. I want to play it. Therefor... what would the specifications be for it? Anyone care to post SFB specs for the Warriors Anger class? Do they exist?

Kids, things have been getting really good for us as of late. More good stuff than I can figure out what to do with. Thanks Wicked Zombie for doing this one.

I don't think that this ship has SFB specs...after all, it's a semi-cannon from Klingon Academy. However, I've been, in my free time, trying to create specs for some of the KA design ships based off the the SOTSF specs created by Atrahasis. It's a real pain since they have very little reference material for them, and in some instances, the material you do find has portions that are somewhat unusual (i.e, the Lexington Class is a superior ship to the Constitution, but according to the KA hull rating system, has a slightly weaker hull).

I could use some help, though. I can't stop fidgeting with the Lexington specs...

It'd be a fairly difficult task getting SFB specs for a KA ship

Personally, I'd give her similar specs to a C7 (It is a Command Cruiser afterall) and just drop in photons for the front and aft hardpoints.

Just for snorts and warts, the KA spec sheet:

Length: 336 meters
Crew: 350
Marines: 45
Max. Impulse: 1320 k/s
Maneuverability Rating: 0.37/0.24
Mass: 550
Hull Rating: 2.6
Shield Rating: 47.8
Armament:
-Fwd: 2 Disruptors, 2 Torps
-Aft: 2 Disruptors, 1 Torp
-Port and Starboard: 2 Disruptors

Of course these don't exactly convert to SFC specs and I changed the weapons layout on mine to fit more with the K'tinga and SFC's hardpoint setup.

I like to take measurements and consider numbers, like ship volume which can be mneasured in Max, and also the mass of the ship. Other factors may be relevant as well, like engine types.

Just out of curiosity, what is more powerful, this or a ktinga? I think the Ktinga is a match for the Refit constitution. I guess I'm not than familiar with anything beyond klingon Bop's.  BTW, Thanks for actyualy sticking the weaponports on this thing. Saw them on the redners included with the model. Yur like basicly the only one to do it so I hope ya release more klingons battlecruisers.

In my opinion, the SuvwI' Qeh is more powerful than the K' Tinga. As to this being the only version available, that's not true. At: www.staryards.com Cleeve has Cromwell's fine version in TMP and TNG flavors. I have at least 3 retextures of that version at STMODDIRECTORY.

This is obviously going to be more powerful than a K'T'inga as it was designed as an extensive modification of the K'T'inga to make it more powerful, wouldn't make much sense if it were weaker.

Oh, I thought I had read above somewhere it was a heavily refit D7.

People use the 2 terms interchangeably even though they are 2 completely different ships and a refit from one to the other would be as likely as refitting Kirk's original connie Enterprise to the connie-refit we see in teh films.
