[Marlon Brando impersonation]Molto bene[/Marlon Brando impersonation] *makes sign of the cross over Desty_Nova

I can tell which is the heavy cruiser and the destroyer, but the Dreadnought and Battlecruiser are a bit confusing - is the one with 4 nacelles the Dreadnought and 3 the battlecruiser?

Actually, the four-engined beast is the battleship. The smaller three-engine is the dreadnought. I didn't post pictures of the BCH, CL, or FF, mainly because they look similar to the ships I already posted. So, you like?

K they're pretty good, for SFB designs, as you probably got from the other threads is that I'm not too big a fan of the SFB ships, especially the 'other' aliens as they all look the same - the only way to tell the aliens apart is their colour scheme LOL. But yeah the models themselves are pretty kick-ass

Anyone know where the camo versions of these ships came from?

Bingo, Rod O'Neal hit it right on the head.  Anyway, I've done LDR versions of all these ships so far(white hulls w/LDR insignia), and later on (if I have time) I might do other paint schemes as well, just for fun.

I believe there's one duchy with grey ships - not the LDR which are white, but I definetly remember a Lyran fleet with grey hulls, on of the other Duchies I'm sure.

FYI all the counties actually have their own insignia and colour scheme. Also each duchy has it's own colour patch on the nacelle pylons - you've got the Red of the Red Claw duchy, but you're insignia is back to front and is black as in the Black Claw fleet - which isn't even part of of the Red Claw duchy, I believe it's one of the Counties of the Apex duchy - the claw for the Red Claw fleet comes out of the right and goes to the left and is painted on in red.

Also there are 6 duchies, or at least 6 main fleets: Homeworld, Foremost, Apex, Red Claw, Enemy's Blood and Far Stars, the first three fleets have camo hulls while Red Claw has basic sand, Enemy's Blood has grey hulls while Far Stars has dark brown hulls, except for 2 of it's counties, Dark Storm, which is diagonal stripes of grey and light blue, while Night Star county has black hulls.

All this info can be gotten from here IIRC:

Keep up the good work Desty_Nova

I live to inform, and nag when people make errors - no matter how small LOL

Hopefully we'll get some of the fleet variations of these ships.

Thats Lestat. I didn't realize the color patches on the engine struts had that significance as well. Anyway, fleet variations should be easy enough to do. Any requests in that department guys?

That goes well with my own personal motto, "You don't have to do much. As long as what you do, you do well."

As far as varient colors goes, The sand/tan and black tiger stripe has always been my personal fav. The "Far Star Fleet", I believe?

I'll see what I can do.

BTW, I'm not sure when I can have a download site up, but I'll try to get one as soon as I can. Look at it this way, the longer it takes me, the more stuff will be up for download by the time I finish.

Just thought I'd let you folks know, Starforce2 has graciously offered to host some of my models until they can find a permanent home, so later today I'll be sending those on over to him, and hopefully soon after you'll be able to download them. He or I will post again once they're up.

Yeah, I'm doing WYN. I already finished a WYN version of the Lyran destroyer and the Great White class heavy cruiser. Plus, I've modeled but not textured all the other fish ships. And I'll be WYN-ifying many a kzinti and orion.

Just so I know - who the hell are the WYN? All I know is they don't like Kzinti - had a war with them and their ships look like fish, oh and the rest of their ships seem to be stolen from everyone else - Lyrans, Klingons, federation freighters...

Well, here's the story.

There was a Kzinti noble who wanted to seize control of the throne, so he started a civil war. This noble, who later came to be known as "the Ususrper", came out on the losing end of the civil war. The ragged remnants of his fleet were being pursued by the kzinti fleet, and preferring suicide to capture, he plunged his ship into a huge nearby radiation field called the WYN cluster. Assuming he was dead, and not wanting to follow him in, the kzinti fleet turned around. But, the Usurper found out that the WYN cluster wasn't a huge cloud, but rather a shell of radiation, which could be survived if traveled through fast enough. And inside that shell, there were many habitable and resource-rich star systems. So the Usurper secretly began rebuilding his power and biding his time. Later, an Orion vessel came through the radiation field, also preferring the apparent suicide of the cluster to capture. They discovered what was inside, and the WYNs and Orions formed a partnership. The Orions also told the outside world, and soon the WYN cluster became a place for all kinds of people who didn't like being among the larger empires. For many years, the WYNs traded with its neighbors(Klingons, Lyrans, Kzintis), and fended off attacks from all of them with a rag-tag fleet of gunned-up freighters and whatever ships they could obtain by various other means. The Orions also operated a shipyard inside the safety of the cluster, in return for a gift of one light raider per year.
The Usurper had been hoarding most of his wealth during his years in the WYN cluster, and had always planned to return to the Kzinti Hegemony to take over and rule. His grandson(who had inherited the title), finally decided that the time to strike was right, and commandeered the Orion shipyard to build a custom-designed fleet that could go toe-to-toe with kzinti warships. These were the "Fish ships", so called because they are named after predatory terran fish by the federation. The Usurper built his new fleet, and launched the WYN War of Return. The War of Return ended with a final battle between the Crown Prince of the Hegemoney and the Usurper. Rather than decimate each other in the face of a growing Andromedan threat however, they had a titanic duel in space control ships. The exact outcome of this duel was never clear to the Federation. It is known that both ships survived and needed extensive rebuilding. It is known(or perhaps is only legend?) that the two badly crippled ships docked and their crews fought it out claw-to-claw. Regardless of who actually  sits on the throne now, it seems that life in the Hegemony and the WYN Cluster have returned to normal after this event.

Phew. There you go.
