IKV Atrocity - Accuser Class
« on: September 04, 2003, 05:33:35 pm »
I took a break from the Feds to catch up on my Klingon projects, the first of which is the Accuser class, one of the big bruisers first seen in KA.

Yes, I know there are other prefixes (IKC, IKS), but I chose IKV since all of the ships in SFC use it and because it sounds more Klingon imo.

Wicked-sic dude. I actually quite liked the KA dreadnought, but I hated the bright pink warp nacelle glows, even if it is the colour of Klingon blood...

One thing - do you reckon you could make a version without those inner nacelles - so it just has three like the SFB dreadnought?

I like the pale green you've chosen, but if you do a K'T'inga then it should have a much darker hull colour than this one.

Dag Mr. Zombie, you have been unusualy busy of late. I think I can find a place for that.

Let's see... It's Thursday... I'd think that by Monday KF will have it repainted in P81 KBB and in RBB N'Neikha as well. Quick like a bunny KF, drag out those N'Neikha textures.

I admit the idea had crossed my mind, ROTFL!

Actually Rogue, while I was drooling over these pictures this is what came to mind (with apologies to Tolkien):

_________________________________________________________________________________________________

[Scene: Immediately prior to the memorial dedication ceremony on Nerendra III. General Raast Molkatha on the bridge of the USS Antarctica, Odysseus Class battleship [Khaliban] orbiting Nerendra III in full view of the IKV Pumwl' as it decloaks.]

"I am armored both above and below. My scales are like ten thousand shields, my teeth are like swords, my claws; spears, my tail a thunderbolt, my wings a hurricane and my breath...Death!" - General Raast Molkatha

"I know this General Molkatha. It was  said by Smaug the Golden. That was the name of the dragon in J. R. R. Tolkien's The Hobbit!"

"Tolkien is so much better in the original Klingon, don't you think Captain Price?"
___________________________________________________________________________________________________

WZ45 well done!  I especially like the attention to detail on the relative SIZE of this ship! Thank you SO much. Its about time the Klingons get some ships to even things out

You can read more about this fine Klingon warship here:

Oh what fun. Tis a good day when the Wicked Zombie whips up a Klingon monster, eh?

Ya know, when I look at the lower hull structure it looks like it is supposed to seperate into an independent battle cruiser in it's own right. It would have it's own warp and impulse. But what do I know? Better one overpowered behemoth than two divided lesser warships.

Very nice!!! I like the offset you put on the "command tower" instead of just centering it. Adds a nice sense of realism.

I also like the idea of a triwarp version. It would look trimmer and slicker. Maybe drop the lower impulse deck as well. Speaking of the impulse section, the glows look great.

Hey WZ, I've got the Taldren original version of this ship in the TNZ mod, with your permission I'd like to replace it with this beautiful model you've made. A real work of art!

Actually, it wouldn't take much work to nuke the underslung warp engines as I tried to keep this beast as modular as possible without merging every little part together. I think I'll leave that to the kitbashers though as I have bigger fish to fry.

Korah, feel free to include the Accuser in the mod, just as long as the readme file is intact.

Great ship!

I'd forgotten about this massive vessel and now I have a kickin' version of her!

Thank you, 'Zombie!

BUMP.

Its not everyday that the Klingons get a new dreadnought. I have NO intentions on retexturing this fine ship. She's too unique for me to dishonor. I will say though, she's not much bigger in game than WZ45's Ulysses and I am using Firesoul's SIZE file currently. I really would like to play against the full scaled version but I forgot how to adjust the size to allow for it.

I am looking forward to WZ45's version of the SuvwI' Qeh. I have a feeling that I'll be changing the ship in my signature pretty soon.

I just hope you don't use the Sword of Kahless to do a new B10 man that thing is fugly.

I had a look in M6 - you can axe the middle 2 nacelles, the top nacelle the lower impulse deck - it's completely modular - very nice work WZ. I may have to try doing some kind of pocket DN using just the lower section but I don't know yet how I could give it it's own command boom and top half. *ponders in deep thought* hmmmmm. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

*leaves trying to figure out which ship WZ will completely remake next hoping it's not the Sword of Kahless*

FYI I was looking at the KA site ship info on the Klinks - the Accuser is called the pumwI' in Klingonese - that's a capital I on the end BTW - not an 'L'

What BTW is the Imperator class? I don't seem to be able to recall it.

SENSE OF HUMOR ALERT:

Correct not another writer's spelling lest ye be corrected... 'Accuser'

DAMNED hard to read, small print, KA website fonts...

Oh right, well I'd much prefer the Yamato to fill that spot m'self but you can never have too many battleships ravaging the Fedration economy

You are the man KF. Just as a side note... that size file simply descibes the path to the .mod file and gives the relative scale associated with it. I couldn't get it to work with the scheme I use unless I set the model folder parallel to the other models. (It doesn't seem to want to work with with subfolders) Open that sucker up in notepad and edit away using the obvious structure that you see. You will notice that for each model it gives the scale for the model and the break model. If you delete the path for anything it just renders it in the same scale EAW did.

I'm not surprised you aren't going to drop those N'Neikha textures on it. It looks way fine as it is. Sorry guy, I couldn't resist picking on you a bit. I only pick on people I consider to be friends.

No problem Rogue.  I DO have a sense of humor, LOL.

Thanks for reminder on the size file. Now to tinker with it..

Thanks agains for keeping thos FASA Trek ships in the spotlight. We certainly will give those FASA Feds a run for their money with this fine ship, LOL...

Actually, I happen to like the Sword of Khaless class a lot better than that ghastly Yamato class that the Feds got stuck with. I always wondered what alien stimulant the Starfleet Corps of Engineers was on when they came up with that thing. Afterall, Klingon ships can be ugly but Fed ships need some standards.

I don't see why Klingons should get lumped with ugly ships - the D7 and the K'T'inga are possibly the sleekest looking ships in Trek, Klingons ships are meant to look predatorial - sleek and menacing, not a bloated blob in space. The Sword of Kahless is fugly. The Yamato doesn't look bad at all IMO. With some proper nacelles and making the rollbars on the saucer symetrical it would look much better. Oh and a  high poly mesh and some nice textures obviously but that goes for all the KA ships Oh well, al ogni suo propri.
