Enterprise C Completed
« on: August 29, 2003, 11:48:23 pm »
Finished the Ent. C tonight, only thing left to do is hp/dp...which might take awhile, as I am trying to figure out Shipedit. If anyone want one without the hp/dp, post here and I will send you a link to d/l the bare version. This version is based on the pics at Scifi-Arts, which show a small shuttlebay and large nacelles.

Here's some pics of the finished product:

Not sure...if anyone wants, I can also hp as fdn, which in my game comes out as the BCG,F,J and E models. What does everyone think? Should I do it that way, then release a v.2 with the Shipedit stuff later?

Sounds like a good plan to me. What's next?

OK, I'll have it up tonight. As for what's next, not sure but probably won't start anything for a few days, as I need to spend some time with the ol' lady. Probably going to do a few bashes that were privately requested, then go from there.

Looks very cool, just make sure you have the textures for the Enterprise-C's impulse engine, which was blue as opposed to the later version's red. I'm looking forward to seeing what you cook up next Sandman

Actually, I did the impulse engines red...but that's an easy fix. For now, I have the red version up for d/l at my alt. d/l site, just follow the links for models at my site. I did the hp as the stock fdn. Looks very good ingame, no pics right now as my site is burping again. And to think, I actually paid money for this hassle. Oh well, you live and learn, right?

Thanx DM! It sure took long enough, lol. To date, I feel this is my best model yet, then the Remora. I figure something out with each one I do, so hopefully it shows in the quality.

Thanx again, and when are we gonna see more from you?

Thanx guys!

For any kitbashers that want to use this...be careful, as it has a lot of textures and there are some that could probably be combined to cut things down, but... I hope it's not too unfriendly to ya'll bashing it.

Lots of textures = good for cheap ass kitbashers like me - Moons' and WZs' ships are a dream to kitbash coz you've got so many textures to play around with - you delet a small bit of a ship and you've now got about 4 or 5 textures free to use on something else. I hate ships with everything mapped onto 3 or 4 textures.

That's good! I was afraid that too m,any textures meant too much extraneous gobbledygook.

I suppose I'm biased because using M6 to add new textures you'd have to be Stephen Hawking or something so the more textures the merrier I am when I want to add new stuff to a model.
