Hey Klingon Fanatic, if I do make this Kitbash, how do you want the Warp Engines?  Should I make them close to what the pic has or have them outside and away from the ship?

Also, I think I will make some slight modifications to the design to make it a little more beleiveable since FASA was not very good in this department.

Although I would prefer something 'as close to the pic as possible' and prefer to keep the Andorian design as intact as possible,  I trust that whatever you come up with will probably be an improvement over the original design. I can't think of anybody who kitbashed or made a FASA ship from scratch that didn't improve them.

So far the ONLY non-canon, non-FASA ship I have been uber fanatical about accurate detailing is the ST: New Worlds (TMP Era RTS a la Starcraft) Melak warbird....

Fair enough.  I will see what I can do with the design you got.  Might take a me a little while to get it done.  not quite done with the current project I'm doing.  I will let you know on this board when she's ready.

Hey Klingon Fanatic, I got some bad news.  I think I'm going to have to pull out of this project for now.  I use Milkshape to build my models and it works great making custom made models, but it not so good trying to kitbash models with.  I tried working on it tonight, but I'm running into some major hurdles that are really making this difficult.  I would suggest you ask someone else on this board to help you for now becuase at the rate I'm going it could take months to get a model like this ready for you and I really have other projects I was planning to get done aswell.

Sorry I can't help you on this.  I know you really want the a model like this badly.  I will try to work on it from time to time, but I will have to put it on the back burner unless someone else is willing to help out.

As to the Andor, I saw one drawing in which someone had removed the Constitution-class secondary hull altogether. The ship had a much sleeker profile and the design looked more cohesive.  Here's the page:  Andor refit

I had no trouble getting the D-10H and the FASA Gorns. If you are still having trouble send me an e-mail and I'll send it to you.

Regarding the FASA Gorn, I know they were released untextured, LOL.  I hope these ships can get at least a basic set of  textures on them soon, CV and M-6 won't show them and  the mod veiwer shows them as essentially, 'ghost' ships lol. In short, my attempts to texture them have failed.

According to the M-6 tips packet at Pataflafla's website, M-6 CAN be used to texture ships under limited and very specific conditions, I might add.

CV is another FREE model veiwer program that allows you to take pics for SFC3, adjust ship hardpoints and "scale" models. I like the program a lot but I must be totally inept with it, LOL.

I know you can apply different textures to different areas that you select but it's just remapping, you can't import a NEW texture to an existing mesh with M6 - one of the major pitfalls of the prog, oh and not handling textures larger than 512x512 or being able to do DPs or glows (not that I mod SFCIII) or _brk.mods
