Just so you all know I havn't dropped off the face of the earth, Here's what I have been working on from time to time while waiting on parts for the custom Sportster I'm building.

Mars Station Starship Research Facility , Shipyards & Refit Docks

Its been about a month since I've done anything with it, Used some of Taldrens textures to give me an idea of the look I want.
Still got alot to do yet.

Looks very cool, any chance of an interior with ships in it like that old starbase mod from a while ago, can't remember who made it, though moon did one with an interior but no ships. Just for a sense of scale could you post a pic with a ship like the connie or galaxy?

Actually this station isn't that big, It only looks that way because of the taldren original starbase textures.
imagine a Galaxy sized ship in the upper yard, & a frigate or a couple of defiants in the lower yards.

I would say its probably about 1/3 or 1/4 the size of a full sized starbase.

The base in my sig pic was a throw together for the rendering of the image.
The original idea of this shipyard was going to be the same size as a starbase, but it looked REALLY F$%@ed up.

And yes I am the one who made the video tutorials, which are available again at my site.

Ok, just wanted to thank you. That video was a HUGE help for me.

Thank you very much. That was a great help. I couldn't figure out how to apply the textures to save my rear, but that video pretty much cleared up all the questions I had. I still need to learn how to draw half decent textures, lol, but that will come in time....

We can always use more stations!

I have one suggestion: add a ship or two (low poly of course) to the exterior drydocks to give her an "active and working" look.

But I'm no modeler so what do I know...

Thanks guys, glad you like it.
I know I didn't put much effort into this rendering like I usually do, I was pressed for time that night.
Like I said, I still have alot of work to do with it & the way things are going, it maybe awhile before its released.
