Topic: Not like the KA forum...

I'm not talking bout the look of it.I'm talking bout what people say.Here, we all talk bout Taldren and the lawsuit and how SFC and Trek is probably gonna die out.Truthfully,those posts should be on the OT forum.I know ur thinkin that I just posted something like that,but the original topic was bout the never-gonnna-happen-sfc3-patch.And if its not  that,its problems people are having with patches and such.What I like bout the KA forum is that people talk bout the game,what they are making,and bout problems that can be fixed without a patch.I know people still do those things here,but are covered up by these depressing topics.But this could be of many reasons.One could be,that the bugs were worked out of KA more easily than SFC.Or this problem with Activision.But either way,u all need a swift kick in the ass for making so many depressing topics.Get back to the game.If these problems dont get fixed,its not the end of the world.I know modding SFC is fun so start talking bout that and stop talking bout that damned patch and that piece of [censored] lawsuit.Please

This is the Starfleet Command General Forums... if you take the time to read the forum description for this area.. it states

in other words, anything pertaining to Trek is ON topic here, whether happy or sad... everyone is entitled to their own opinions...

how?

#1) telling the community that is needs a swift kick is not nice, nor is it constructive, and basically alienates you from the rest of the community. How many here are going to actually want to back you up if you keep making comments like this?

#2) This forum is set up to discuss SFC and Trek, but more specifically Starfleet Command, all titles of Starfleet Command, however Taldren permits anything Trek or SFC related to be posted in this area... whether happy or sad...

the lawsuit effects Trek in a major way, especially on the gaming end, and for possible future support on Taldren's latest title, SFC III...

thus it directly effects everyone who owns the game.. there is nothing more on topic than that, as support for SFC III is Officially on hold on Activision's side...

and you don't want the community to discuss issues like that in the area of the forum that is completely on topic for it?

the Off Topic forum was created because of Political discussions, religious discussions, and a bunch of other things that has no bearing on Trek or SFC.. that is what the Off Topic forum is about...

 If you want more specific discussions on the game for Modding, check out the SFC Mod area, that forum is about Modding SFC, but also on topic in this area as well

If you want to discuss the Dynaverse, there are areas on this board for Dyna 2 and Dyna 3, those are for only Dyna discussion and Dyna Role Play, but are still on topic in this area as well

same goes for Models, Fan Fiction, Bug Reports.. they each have their own area, but that doesn't make them any less on topic in this area.. only you may not get the responses you are looking for if you post those items here as the community attempts to keep those things in their respective areas of this board.. unless it is really big like Firesouls OP + Shiplist .. that is mainly used for Dynaverse 2 play, but it has such a big impact, it is also posted in this area...

Just look over the different area's and you will see what I am talking about.. and try to be an adult with an open mind instead of going off like a teenager who can't get his own way...

I understand that you don't like posts that you may consider depressing, however, that my just be you.. I find most postings interesting and informative.. I leave emmotion out of it as that would cause me to start flame wars all over the place...

whether good, bad, happy, or sad.. and it pertains to Trek or SFC, it belongs here.. even the Activision Lawsuit.. Activision Law Suit effects Trek Games and more speciffically SFC III.. if you are not into things like that.. skip over the topic or the individual posting, but don't jump out the community for posting things you don't want to read, especially when the thing you are complaining about is completely on topic..

we have a word for people like that.... we call them
