Lexington Class Command Cruiser

This has been a favorite of mine since I flew her in Klingon Academy. She's been awaiting the completion of my Constitution class so I could strip it for parts and textures. I took a few artistic liberties with my version since there aren't any 'official' references outside of the stock KA model and added a few Constitution details to give her more of an Excelsior/Connie crossover appearance.

The Klingons in that last shot are Moonraker's K'tinga and the stock KA Warriors Anger Command Cruiser which was converted by Dark Drone. I don't know where you can still get the KCC, but the K'tinga can be found here.

The Warriors Anger command cruiser from KA, also known as SuvwI`Qeh, can be found at StarYards.

 StarYards\Suvwiqeh class command cruiser

By the way it also contains a TNG version.

Excellent rendition, sir!

I always thought she looked like a cross between the Excelsior and Sovereign classes.

You keep surprising and delighting.

I'm looking forward to all the other ideas you're cooking up.

This is excellent work...thank you for sharing it with us.  Making greats thing better is the avalibility of an SFC2 version complete with hardpoints as well as a data sheet to show their relative locations. It unquestionably beats having to plug in phasers to track them before outfitting weapons, and is a relief from the cut and paste antics of SFC3, and the mind numbing complexity of Bridge Commander.

I'm usually the guy who whines for mid-resolution textures, but thankfully, the combination of my computer and OP are competent enough to handle the high-resolution maps. I find that to be a little odd, but I'm not complaining. Guess it shows just how backwards SFC3 is in relation to its predecessors.   *j/k*

Would you (WZ) happen to have the Excelsiors in your future plans? If not, I think that you should give it some thought. Yes, there are a few others floating about, but I think you to be able to make a great performance out of an already fondly received show, so to speak...

Alright, alright...my motives aren't entirely pure. The newer high-res Excelsiors and SFC2 don't get along, leaving me yearning to replace them. But the ass-kissing portion, including the above segment above this one, is authentic.

Actually, I've had a pair of Excelsior meshes in drydock for almost a year, just never got around to texturing them. I've been meaning to tweak the models a bit and slap some paint on 'em at some point during this decade.

Great job Wicked Zombie; the Lexington has been one of my favourites since I first saw it in Klingon Academy! I love your attention to the little details that you have added

BUMP to the top! This is too good to keep beyond the first page.

Here's a KA Wallpaper featuring the Lexington:

WZ45, I took the liberty of changing your dark blue engine glow effects to the lighter blue ones from Moonraker's.  For some reason (video card maybe?) the dark blue lines distort the warp engines as you circle the ship and, its hard on my eyes, lol.

Again, thank you for this fine ship.

Qapla!
