Interesting I just saw this post. I made it dude. My best mesh yet. Course its only my 4th. Its looking sweet though. I just gotta texture it. I don't have a way to post pics -but if I send it to Sandman he said he would host the pic.

Also I don't have software to do hard points so maybe that needs to be done. But its only 90 meters so might not matter.

btw I think my poly count is 4500 or so. I meshed in a lot of detail. Didn't skimp on the nacells either as there one area that has a lot of roundness to it.

PLus were running out of sites to host models

I'd be happy to put all the damage points and hardpoints on the model for you. Just email me the model in MOD format. I'll get it back to you the same day you send it to me.

Thanks for the offer KoraH. Sounds good. Give me maybe 3 or 4 days. I decided to see if I can mesh in the windows and then I'll texture it.   Hey are you able to do brk mods too?

Also I just got the $4.95 a month plan fron AOL so I'll be able to post pics and links soon.

I can make the breaks, and put in the pivot points, but I don't usually bother with the damage textures on the break surfaces since I suck at texturing. You hardly miss them anyway in my opinion. If you send me the break model I'll do that for ya too. The whole procews will take me about 20 minutes. Also, if you ahve an idea of where you want the hardpoints to be, send me a pic of the ship with the hardpoints mapped out on it. Otherwise I'll just place them where it seems logical, and in the number that seems logical for the class of ship it is. Are you going to be making the ship for SFC3? If so I'll also do the TI, VL and BS pics for ya as well.

Thanks for the reply. I was working with someone else on a ship and he said he would help me on the lighting and maybe the textures. I don't know yet if he was doing the hp's or not. If he doesn't I will send it your way.  At any rate it will be a week cause I am doing the textures and they take me awhile.

Well, if your textures turn out good maybe we can trade, and you can texture a ship for me while I do HP's and DP's for your models

Well I think this ship well look sweet but its because of  the detail I am putting in the mesh and how I am going to map it.

Since I don't have too much skill texturing I compensated here by haveing about 50 seperate groupings in my mesh. Which I will combine down to maybe 20 -30 or so. That way I can create a lot of shading simply by assigning different shades or brightness of my hull texture.  It is kinda my idiot method for texturing until I (if ever) get better at textures.

I am stricty a mesher at this point. I get better at it cause I find ways to avoid texturing

Hmm well once I resized the ship- it don't really need hp's. Say What have you got that needs texturing. Maybe post a pick. I might be interested in doing it. Can't say for sure till I see what you have in mind. I got my raven about 80% textured.

This is the 1st ship I've done 100% of the textures by myself. So far I have been working in MS paint and a photo editor. Someone posted a link for a 30 trial of PSP so have
