Topic: Help! Federation Campaign Mission - Can't beat it!

Hello fellow players, I really need help completing one of the federation missions. I have tried more times than I can count, but can't remember the mission name ;P I will describe. It is pretty far along the Federation missions. Picard orders me to invade Romulan territory and destroy the Tal'Shair headquarters. When the mission starts it's my ship, and four others ... mostly small frigates and destroyers. So the mission begins ... I am to destroy the main base and all resistance. Two of my fleet always seem to stick with me, while the other two go right for the base and defense stations. This battle seems unwinnable. The enemy has 1 strong base, 4 defense stations, a fully powered warbird, 3 heavy cruisers and a small destroyer ... all against me and a few small fed ships ... how can this be won? I have tried taking the two fed ships that stick with me and try to capture other Rom ships to use, I have also tried going right for the base and defense staions with the other two fed ships ... all scenarios lead to defeat. I have managed to capture a few of the Rom heavy cruisers, and that does help, but once you hurt the rom warbird enough, the ships warps out of the system, and so do a few of my captured ships ... what the hell is that? So on a few LUCKY occasions when I have destroyed or captured all enemy ships, I focus on the defense stations and the base ... but am WAY outgunned. I died in minutes, and so does my small fleet. I really need some pointers on how to approach this mission better. I have tried going into the battle with different ship configurations ... at the moment I go into it with an over phasered Akria ... no heavy weapons ... 6 XF fast firing rate phasers, and 1 XIIF phaser on the "all angle arc" This on other missions has worked out great ... my ships has wicked thrusters, good shields and there is never an empty weapon. I have also tried buying a Galaxy class ... but the ship is a turtle ... cant turn worth anything, poor impulse speed ... mainly because I don?t have the cash to upgrade at this point. Both ships got defeated easily. Please help me with some suggestions. Thanx
