But Activision is still stupid for not letting Taldren distribute their own patch, when they have been doing it for their own games since the late '90s without problems.

I'm sure there are many legal implications to who releases patches and when and how.  So, apparently you are ignorant to those issues, so you are free to go around calling people stupid.

You see? " Ignorant" is clearly used in a derogatory manner in the above sentence. But I'm sure that DaBoogeyMan meant no offense. (Right?)

Of course I meant no offense, it was correctly used in this case:
Captian Korah is ignorant of the legal implications of who, when and how control of the patches and other info is suppose to be released.  Ignorant, as in, he doesn't know!!!!!   Where did I lose you?!?!?!?

I prefer to use the term: "Uninformed".  This way IGNORANT people don't think I'm talking like an egotistical scumbag by calling them ignorant.   However, you WERE ignorant in thinking that you lost me. Or rather,  misinformed.

Have you finished the single player campaigns?  Fed up woth playing the same skirmishes ova and ova?  Well now you can join StarFleet all ova again, and recieve missions to play in SFC3!!!!  Each week you will recive a new "chapter" in your own UNIQUE story line, from there you can make decisions on how your ship is run, from promoting and transfering crew, to refitting your ship.  The missions you carry out will have a direct influence on the other players in the game.  If you fail a mission rather than die trying, you comrades might find a borg cube entering Federation space because of you!  Join now, its free, it quick to sign up and you never know, you might just enjoy it!

So what are you waiting for?  join now and protect the Federation!!!

This isn't spam. I don't think Stormwalker knows what he's talking about.

1. Spam is a term used for email... not bulletin boards...

2. Spam is defined as unsolicited messages that have no way to cancel yourself from the mailing list. This is a board titled "General Starfleet Command" so his post about a SFC3 RPG is definitly solicited...

Many ignorants, uneducated about internet terminology, might call this spam, but since:

        a. Hhe is not sending it to you

        b. It is not unsolicited

        c. It is posted on a public forum

There is no way this is spam. Just because it's on the internet and you didn't ask for it doesn't mean it's spam.  That's like calling an 18-wheeler a "minivan" just because they both have a combustion engine.

Pimping out other sites for personal gain would be spam. Maybe. It depends on what the terms of service say, there is one message board out there that is totaly willing to delet posts like this under spam.
