Topic: bit OT: how many groups and a site name change and an update? (Read 1329 times)

issue 1:

ive been wondering... how many different groups are the invovled in startrek games modding? my count would be this:

NG (nightsoft)
Frostworks (several teams)
DAP (dream arts productions)
BCU team (bridge commander universe team, (the bc2 project))
TMS (themackiestuff, more like a damn worker union than a team

)

have i forgot anyone?

issue 2:

yesterday I did sh*tloads of coding and managed to turn teh site into PHP almost completely , take a look

aside from that, ive been considering changing the sites name and address because it hasnt really been my homesite for a while now, more of a bit specified trek gaming site with couple of people working under the name....
this was my idea: :

Free-gen Systems, or just Free-gen (free-gen.com or net) because saying Freegen fast sounds like 'Friggin' and also because the people who work under the name, like alread said, are more of a workers union than a team .
Free Generation or Free Generator (systems?) would be the most logical idea, no?

I think the name is fine the way it is...and everyone already knows it, a big plus.

another reason for the change is that i thought of going "the DAP way" with couple of our guys , plus, even if i did change the name i would keep the old adress for redirecting

I know it seems im a little hellbent on changing the address but i just want it to be a more... generic one, the site...

another idea for name i had is Insomnia city united , because most of the guys who i work with on there dont sleep really...

also checked up with webspace provder... the best, most low cost idea, is just to change the domain name in the end of the year so i wouldnt ha´ve to pay the price twice that i already have

Not really a name person myself,

he question is where is the direction of the site going?
well it still be Trek style models or are other things going to happen to it now?

Where you are going should be considered if you are are changing the name, not where you are or have been.

News:
