actually they banned u me and don dawson. then bile created a poll to get us back, in which anduril was censored ( his post altered) and other meyhem.

for the record bile was banned after the incendtn for lord knows what. they said he was rude the admins. btu i read his posts. for once he was civil. it was an unessesary banning. in fact i think banning may have gone a bti too far. i like paladin and all, but i will prolly steer clear of the forum. they have an itchy banning finger.

It is strange you got banned Rick, But I do see how Atra and Don got it. I also think it was pointless as they had already agreed that they were done doing that to eachother there.

yea, well they said i was spammignt he forum w/ off topic stuff, btu there were tons of off topic stuff. oh well. they reinstated me the next day, so no biggie. as for lb, im glad that was just a mistake, he did nto deserve to be banned, he didnt even do anything.

You know, something smells damned odorific about Janus the Anus when he says that he banned LB "by accident". I for one don't frickin' believe him. I think he was just so unbelievably prickish that he decided to take it out on LB along with the rest of us. Think about it: When LB tried to post he gets a really specific message saying "You're screwed buddy, abusive to moderators." Not me, Pneumo, nor Dawson ever had any interaction with the moderators, but LB did. If jAnus meant to ban someone else other than LB, who the hell could it have been? No one else.

I think the odors emanating from the words he said tell us pretty clearly that he banned LB on purpose but he made up that accident story to cover his own ass in order to not be too reviled for doing what was essentually a non-sensical and unfair action.

Hey, I call 'em as I see 'em.

Well what kind of a dick does one have to be for censoring level-headed Anduril???

I would REALLY like to know. The only thing I can figure is that Anduril made such a good and salient point in our defense that pointed out the moderators were indeed being uptight morons and that really pissed them off. Anduril, care to comment on this?

What the heck is going on?!

I admit I don't visit sfc3.net much (ideological difference with its founders. I am pro-SFB, shrug.) but I respect their pull as a fellow prominent SFC gaming site. Their coverage on SFC3 is better (and I admit that) than ours at SFU. (to my defence, I had to keep my eye on other SFC news)

But what precisely happened?!! All I am hearing are 3rd hands news which MAKE NO SENSE whatsoever. anyone care to give me a condensed version? If it's not fit for open print, my email is in the profile(TIA)

and I am surprised the language filter or the mods (if there indeed is one) didn't catch "dicks"...

there was a point I could not even go to those forums browser refused to load them, guess it got pissed and banned them from me. This was probably a good thing as I too would have be a banned memeber because i would have questioned a adiminstrators sanity that bans one of their own moderators. You think they would have talked things over wit hthem first.

When did all this happen? I never frequented SFC3.net much, but I was just on there last night - or maybe night before last - and read another (hilarious) confrontation between Atra & Don where one party accused another of something involving butter...

...and saw the aftermath of some joke of Pneumonic 81's that another moderator apparently took seriously. Is the place really that tightly wound? And P81 was one of their moderators - who the hell bans a moderator? And Don actually got banned from another forum? Good Lord...

I dotn get it, but they took my admin rights away.(I got the Admin rights so I can help out with the forums and Do there imagry) I was posting some stuff to help out the community and asked paladin to post that "want a Flame war forum" Poll, he told me to go ahead, and they deleted it..... I dont know why they deleted it but I am never going over there again, It is way too strict. I guess someone posted soemthign bad and then they deleted it.... hmm last time i checked the vote was 11 to 1 and they favored the new forum. hmm beats me. Moderators dont have bannign powers, only admins do. I could of banned people, but why would I? I dont favor banning unless they do soemthing like that AA character did. That Place just dosnt make any sense!

Well I suppose my image then may be tarnished in the eyes of some for posting in this thread.

But I was starting to dislike SFC3net because there were getting to be fewer and fewer threads about modding. Then a trol pops up and most of us thought it was a troll. Then find out its a joke-well I kind of felt like a fool then. Then 4 people get banned and all threads are about that. Then there reinstated. So what point was made by banning them and why ban.

So I was still trying to get some clarification on what all happened and my post then is called off topic and locked or deleted.
I may have misread Janus calling me abusive but I don't feel I owe anyone an apology other than p81 for assuming that it may have been all preconcieved and I gave it already.

After 4 people getting banned they could have opened it up for discussion or let things settle down before they delete off topic posts.

Nothing was solved here. I think their goal was to egt the froum focused back on modeling. I don't think that is what happened. I think a lot of us are confused and hurt over it. At least I am. I did say I was leaving and I meant it.

Perhaps this should have been left out of this forum but it is hard to seperate the 2 as many use both.

I am saddened by the entire situation but I am simply going to get back into modeling now more then ever.

I was even one that complained to the moderater about what I thought was a troll. I will never forget my 1st ship release where a troll said it looked like puke and offered to pour liquid plumber down my throat. and no one chased him out or stood by me either.

So I dislike trolls immensly that is why I complained about what I thought was a troll. I understand I wasn't the only one.

Anyway I am putting this behind me. Yea maybe the title of this thread is offensive but Atrathis is human also.

Plus he isn't the admin of the forum-I really think the situation was handled poorly. An emotional roller coaster was not what I needed after last weeks tragedy.

lets all move forward now and try to all learn something. If someone thinks I really behaved poorly in all this I will consider your feedback.

Tommorrow I am starting a new mesh.

I can chime on with you Lord Schtupp, only not as harshly. Atrahasis, there are many of us that did our best to stand up for you when you got banned. Paladin was actually more than willing to listen. Gents, it's pretty harsh to talk about them like that.

Then Janus comes in and writes in my post:

I mean, holy cow....my little opinion there deserves an accusation like that from the moderator?

They DO have a serious power trip problem going on there, Shtupp, as you can see there have been plenty of complaints. Yeah yeah I may have been making jokes about their tightness in my postings here but frankly don't you think they do deserve to have some fun poked at them? I mean...considering?

I am still trying to figure out how the whole forum was notified of the banning and who was banned. That is something that should have been done though email privately. The whole thing was classless. You don't ban 4 people and announce it to the entire forum and then delete threads from people who want to discuss the banning. I mean its treating people like children and some of us are adults. Then open it up to a vote if you want them reinstate em, then reinstate em all in like 12 hours and then not answer any questions about it.

That is why I think they did it publicly, they were making examples out of people. Hey like Palidan says he supports the site out of his own pocket so he can do whatever he wants.

Why do I feel like a dog chasing my tail. Man I say this was classless. I am pretty sure they banned me by now cause I saw palidan reading this thread. Well all I can say is a forum that bans 5 people in 24 hours ain't about the members.

I seen topics in this forum titled so and so was banned. WEll over there that thread would be deleted. Why is that. They publicly ban people-then you want to talk about it cause you know these people for almost a year then they delete or lock your threads.

And go check out there a thread where I said I left so if they ban me I was already gone.

I am grateful to post here. I used to hate threads like these but now I see why they sometimes are needed.

I mean, I guess they have the right to be as iron-handed as they like over there, but what's the point? No i never said i was better then any one infact LB said he was, i just put the point up that i had ben to school for 3D CGI and that i did not think it was right to say his low poly work was better then any modelers hear, People jjustt dont do that hear.
And i did not say go make models i said maybe if you started modeling agen it would take up more of your time and then people on the forums would not have to deal with the Atrahasis need for flaming and ATTENTION probs , and we could have peace.
I can name some people hear that i think are better then me at low poly Trek models. But i dont like to bring people into forum flame wars, i will spare them having to deal with your posts.
