Ah yes, the great adventures of my hero Captain Kang, and his intrepid crew.  I love all 8 episodes.  Here, let me give you a synopsis:

Episode 1:  The Menagerie
Captain Kang receives orders from High Command to return to Klinzhai and pick up a disabled Captain Pike.  These orders turn out to be falsified by his painfully honest first officer, however, so Kang executes the first officer and leaves Pike to die.  (Runing time:  Aproximately 5 minutes)

Episode 2: The Corbomite Maneuver
Kang is confronted by an powerful alien starship that vastly outguns the BattlecruiserVengeance, so Kang beams his chief Marine (Lt Corbomite) and an assault squad over.  They quickly dismember the lone alien on board who surprisingly turns out to be only 4 ft tall. (Running time:  Approximately 3 minutes)

Episode 3: The Man Trap
The Battlecruiser Vengeance is assigned to resupply Dr. Crater's scientific colony.  The Vengeance's chief medical officer is looking forward to meeting the Dr's wife, who happens to be an old flame of his.  On the planet, however, the crew of the Vengeance discovers a monster that can change its form to mimic any of them.  Kang backs off and nukes the eintire site (and his chief medical officer) from orbit.  (It's the only way to be sure.)  Running time:  Approximately 3 minutes.

Episode 4: Balance of Terror
The Vengeance plays a game of cat and mouse with an invisible alien cruiser armed with a super-weapon.  The two captains discover they are quite a match for each other, and the defeated Romulan captain admits that in another reality he and Kang could be friends.  Kang's only reply is, "Bite me."  Running time:  Approximately 60 minutes.

Episode 5: The Cloud Minders
The Vengeance discover a world where the ruling class live in graceful, floating cities, while slaves labor in the mines below to provide untold riches.  Kang likes the setup but dislikes where the profits are headed.  (They are not headed to him.)  The Vengeance quickly blasts the cloud cities to atoms and beams down a marine company to take over ownership of the slaves.  One of the slave women makes eyes at Kang, so he beds her before executing her.  Running time:  Approximately 10 minutes.

Episode 6: The Spectre of the Gun Parts 1 and 2
Kang attempts to initiate contact with an alien race who instead banishes him and his bridge crew to refight the gunfight at the OK corral.  Kang and company treat this as shore leave and thank the aliens for their hospitality.  Running Time:  Approximately 7 *days* (Kang just can't get enough of shooting Doc Holiday.)

Episode 7: Mirror Mirror
Kang and crew ask the Hulkans for some minerals, but they refuse as they fear the Klingons would use them for war.  Kang lays waste to the surface of the planet and takes what he needs.  There are rumors that if he'd waited a few minutes he'd have found the dorrway to a mysterious alternate universe, but no one believes such silly stories.

Episode 8: The Tholian Web
The Vengeance finds a weak spot in space and Captain Kang is lost in a transporter accident.  When Tholian ships begin to close in, the new first officer gives Kang "an honorable burial in space" and leaves the captain to die.  SERIES END!!

LOL, very ammusing.  No wonder Klingons get a bad reputation in SFB!    Their more fearsome then even Star Treks.

Hey Fire Soul, I'm all with ya on JMS.  One of the best SiFi writers out their in my opinon.
