Hydran rework already? Yup

I was testing my Miraks in game  against my Hydrans. Well I never tested my Hydrans in game and kinda rushed em out.
So 1st I made them blue. A tad more than Renegade had. Then added some more pink. I think they look more Hydran now.
Next I will take a look at the warps. Thinking the design is a bit conservative. Perhaps not. They should taper more or something.  

Then the textures need remapping. This is due to how I model and I do not usually delete back faces. Simply because I like to tweak later and sometimes when you bash you need your backfaces again. So there are some areas that have textures below the surface. In game these sometimes "bleed through the top textures.  Anyways I am fixing that.
Then doing break models that will send pieces everywhere .

Plan on alternating releasing these with my Mirak.

The Hydrans will be up at SFU I hope and also at this yahoo club.  The link shows the updated textures. Compare it to the original in my sig.

OK the Omen battleship is up. This is version 3 of it. Even newer than version 2 which will be over at SFU.

Description of Ship
--------------------
Hydran Hbb class. TNG era. 3648 polygons.

Version 3 fixes a slight gap in the mesh towards the rear. This version has fewer polygons.
The secondary hulls are now slightly larger. Textures on hull remapped and in Hydran blue.




Ship History
-------------
The HMS Omen incorporates triphasic technology. It has 2 secondary hulls that extend
there seperate shield generators around the ship. The main hull also does this, so all told
there are 3 shield fields created. Each using a unique frequency. This makes the Omens hull
difficult to penetrate. While not carrying as many heavy weapons as some other races TNG era
battleships. The Omen is often able to fight a battle of attrition and emerge victorious.
