Topic: Does anyone know a place online that sells SFC1? (Read 3098 times)

I really want the first game. I played the demo and got hooked. I loved trying to play the fed scenario where you had to protect the crippled CA with your FF against a klink something. There was also a freighter and a Medical ship named USS DeForest Kelly. LOL, I didnt catch onto that name till a long time later. Oh man, I really want to find the demo for that too...

But Id love to own my own copy. If I could find it new, then that would be just wonderful. But anything you can point me at would be very welcome.

Isn't it amazing, that SFC1 is now more expensive than SFC2...

Even that, $18.95 for SFC1Gold is pretty expensive, too expensive IMHO.
SFC1: Gold is a nicer reissue of SFC1 BUT all its bonus materials can be downloaded from the net now, there is no point spending the extra dollars (except maybe if you collect these things)
Avoid SFC1:Neutral Zone. (it's a "value edition" that only has two races instead of 6.)

Ya, that is suprising that SFC1 is being sold that high! I bought SFC1Gold about a year ago from www.half.com and only paid like 5 or 6 bucks! It was a sweet deal! Amazon should consider lowering the price some.

Seems like I used to see SFC1gold for about th 10-15 dollar range around here. (a couple of weeks ago I saw SFC3 for almost 15 bucks, ouch)

I think checkin' the internet is probably the best bet now, since it's way out of stock most places. Outpost.com has an SFC1/Starfleet academy combo (jewel cases only) for 9.95, so the game is still out there and can be had with some good deals. I think it was also available in a combo pack with several other games at one point, so shopping around might nab you some extra goodies if they are your cup of tea, and depending on how much of the original material you want.
