Well, everyone, it seems like luck has been on my side.
Only a month out of being layed off, I have landed the job of jobs, for me anywho
The company's name is
Bear Technologies, Inc.. They do everything - from NT4 to W2K network migration to complete networking solutions - cable and wireless. It's a small company, but it's been around for almost 10 years. Everyone there is GREAT, and I got to get 31 hours in over the weekend (Sat / Sun) 'cause they wanted to "cut my teeth" on a company wide NT4 to W2K migration - and it went perfect.
WoOT !
Oh yea, did I happen to mention that they are also an ISP?
With an OC 3 ?
I've already cleared it w/ my boss (he actually offered, believe this or not he's an old SFB guy !!!!) to move ODIN up to the office and hook it into the OC 3. This means several things :
1. ODIN will have an incredibly reliable connection.
2. ODIN will now have a MUCH larger pipe
3. ODIN will now also host the XC webs, which means I'll have unlimited server space, can run MSSQL or My SQL, everything, with no hosting charges and no bandwidth restrictions.
4. Frey is going to save a bunch of money each month (and BTW this job pays MUCH better than my previous one
) which also means he's going to have the Athlon MP machine up and running in no time (also because I can get some AWESOME deals on hardware through my new job!!!)
4. Frey is a very happy happy man.
I'd like to thank EVERYONE in the community for their support, and I am looking forward to providing a even better D2 / OP D2 for the whole community.
Again, thank you ALL for the kind words and support. It is because of this community that I do everything I do.
Regards,
