With Sandman's permission, I gave the Remora a makeover. I modified the textures, and enhanced an already great model. I think yo guys will like the results, it still needs a couple of tweaks here and there, so it will be available in a couple of days since I have alot of work at my job at the moment. Also does anyone know how to contact Patafala? I used a couple of his textures and I just wanted to run it by him, I know he is on sabbatical right now and probaly wouldn't mind, I just want to cover all the bases. Anyway here are the pics.

Damn! I knew I wasn't doing it justice...a few alterations and it looks great! I think you might still ba able to email Pata...I just don't think he is on long enough to come by the forums. Try and see. I don't think he'd mind, though. It looks really great!

Glad you like it, Personally I think you did a great job on the textures, all I did was swap of things here and there, you did the grunt work. After I finish the break model, all that's left is renaming the ship. Although I have been thinking about using the current name on this one since it was an extra texture swt to begin with, it was made for Pata's chandley. What do you think?

Hey, where's the 100m version I've been waiting for?

I have a nice Remora-as-Defiant-prototype nearly ready. I added P81's FDX warp engine textures to it (both sides glow) as well as it's Impulse engines. I think It's looking pretty good.

Rogue I'll need to get your version too.

I didn't like the paint job on my last version, so I was up till 3AM reworking the textures.

The warp engine is now armored at the top, the FDX Impulse Engines replace the blue hangars much better now.

Added a new deflector array from the USS REDMOND FCV by Moonraker

I rotated the last two banks of the rear dorsal phasers so they provide better rear arc coverage. I also added a phaser bank to protect the port and starboard shuttle docking rings.

Finally, I plan to keep the USS Black textures in a seperate folder ( in case the 100m version ever gets made, LOL). I will switch to USS EAGLE textures for the saucer now.

IMHO, this ship makes a great test bed for X era tech and at least in my amalgammatedTrek universe would have ventral mounted shuttles a la the Galaxy Class Captain's yacht or Voyager aeroshuttle rather than have a shuttle bay.

After my kids go to bed I'll try to upload this to STMODDIRECTORY if Sandman has no objections.

Here's a CV (model Editor) pic I took of the Remora. Its a crappy pic that doesn't do the ship justice. The police version rocks IMHO.

Is there a Taldren model thats scaled to the size you want or close to it? That's how I scale the ships for the game. Or, if anyone know how in max5 to rescale a ship using the metric flyouts, I can do it that way too.

i just load the 2 models together and resize them that way in max myself. 100m is how big to say a galaxy class. and go from there

i really like it alot but i have one question/ opinion. what do you htink about putting the landing platforms on the shuttle bays? i know i saw a ship that has em but dont remember what on it is.. just an ides all
