How to make transparent parts in SFC 1/2/3 models?

is there a way to make transparent parts, like a transparent dome of an biosphere or windows, in SFC series models and how could i make them??

In SFC 3 at least you can use a *.tga image with alpha channels. The dark part of the alpha channel is trans parent and the white part makes the textures opaque. Greys in the Alpha Channels make transulcent texturing.

It is from the bcfiles.com site.  I think that SFC3 is the only one of the three that allows *.tga files.
