I was Inspired By Cpt.Korah (IMAGE HEAVY)

After getting the Universe Image Creator that Capt.Korah spoke of, I tried it out. Pretty cool little program. I then used Photoshop to make a planet...learning afterwords that there is a plug-in for doing that. Then thru it all together in MAX5, rendered, re-opened in PS, adjusted some, added the title and such and then said, "Wow! I done good!";lol.

Hope you like it.

SENSE OF HUMOR ALERT:
____________________________________________________________________________

First Officer: "Captain, we have failed to save the planet from the Green Slime Space monster."

Captain: "Notify Starfleet Command, tell them we are going to need some Kleenex..."

I cannot believe you got the Universe program to do all that (minus the ship I guess)... I STILL cant get it to plop down a planet picture- just keeps asking about the direction of the light or something... lol
good picture- I needed a new desktop background....

Thanx guys!!

Rev., I didn't use UIC to do the planet, I used Photoshop for that. It was a tutorial I found online a few months back on making a planet texture, then used a sphereize filter, some glow effects and a lot of trial and error to get that.

KF, only a Klink would think of a snot planet!LOL Actually, I made it as a very young planet, still evolving toward life, or with basic life started. Exploration is the name of the game in Starfleet.

Manitoba, I am sorry for that...thought it was Korah. My bad. (Going to corner, hanging head in shame.)

I really like that Universe Image creator...much more realistic than using a pic from nasa to do renders, or at least the models and image blend better. It's a really fun program, gonna try and make a big nebula image that looks cool for rendering also.

With UIC, to make a planet, just click the planet toolbar button, and then drag and drop on the map where you want the planet. That is, if you've registered the program. You can't make planets with the unregistered version. BUT! If you have a program that can use standard Photosho plugins, then don't bother with the UIC planet tool, GET LUNARCELL!!!!! The link is in the "look what I found" thread that we've all been watching. OMG that plugin is INCREDIBLE! It takes LIVE sattelite images of the earth for cloud images!!! It can make weather, storms, atmosphere, clouds, even city lights on the dark side of your planet! You can specify sea level, colors, EVERYTHING! I s**t my pants when I saw what this thing can do... for free!
