TOS/TMP fans: Please Take Notice Here!
« on: July 16, 2003, 01:20:57 am »
Frankly, I felt uneasy promoting this project as it runs on another company's game engine not related to Taldren. But in the interest of Star Trek and its ever present fans that are regulars to these boards, I felt I should share this with you all despite the possibility of Taldren frowning upon my actions here....

 Starfleet Adventures FAQ

That's right. It's a fan site for a game project not even released yet. To ammend further, EVN is not only a Macintosh game as it is stated on that site's preamble. It's publishing company has made it available to Win users as well not too long ago. Anyhow, I see great potential for what the SFA creator has in mind. Open beta is due out very soon and I invite you all to check it out if you feel so inclined.

This could indeed be the next best thing since sliced bread, muscle cars, and the original Starfleet Command.

Wonder if you can change the camera angle- its a little uncomfortable... wish it more like SFC, just with the kick-ass extras- looks like a semi-persistent universe I was crying about... still seems a little.. halted. Otherwise, its exciting as all heck!!

Holy Cow!  I spent year(s) playing and making mods for Escape Velocity back in the 90's.  This looks very cool.  Thanks!

Do you have a link also To EVN ? It might be worth a look.

Absolutely!

 EVN Homepage

Give EVN a shot. If you're an olden-time gamer like myself, you'll enjoy this retroistic Privateer style space adventure.

Yeeesh, even I was amazed to see that the EV franchise is still alive even after all those years back when people were just starting to experience Win95, MacOS 8 was still a working design, and I was the die-hard owner of a Mac Performa 550.

I miss that old 33mhz Motorola '030 processor....

P.S. when playing the game, if Cap'n Hector starts shooting at you in "her" twinked-out Starbridge, then you know its time to register your copy.

Looks cool, but too bad it requires the quicktime virus. I won't touch that with a ten foot pole!
If I were running a mac OS and had no choice about quicktime I would take a look though.
