Okay, I'm back online now.. (as of about two hours ago).

Some pics of what I've been working on:

The first one.. think that this should be a surprise for James Formo..

Thought that this needed to be done a long time ago, and it sort of was.. but I like how this turned out, so I'll send it to him anyways.

Next, I thought that you guys might like to see Trekke's new Babylon 5 station ingame.. so have a couple of shots of that up now..

I've been wanting to get working on my own personal flagship for a long time now again, so I started fixing the windows and will work on the garden and get this all done one of these days. But the saucer rim windows and observation deck are now done at any rate:

Some updated pics of my fourth original mesh.. this is Starbug 1. Still have some more to do on it yet.. but it's starting to get there:

This last one is definitely WIP because I have to get the shape and textures right, and for that I needed Internet access to download some reference pictures. But I needed this to go with Starbug 1.. so here's my fifth original mesh, my attempt (so far) at Red Dwarf.

All this and more on the way..

The Babylon5 thingy is passable, but the rest of this [censored] is utter [censored] [censored]

there is no [censored] talent here at all, jeezez [censored] H christ get a [censored] clue you usless hacks.

[censored] its just sad, just ... [censored] delete you STOLEN copys of max and lightwave an go do something usefull, like remove yourselves from the gene pool.

Quick update...

Well, 'cause it was asked about.. I did up a WIP shot of the Remora..

There's some texturing left to do on it still.. this is almost how Pataflafla left it (minus the addition of the back thrusters and lights on both the upper and lower saucer).

And also an update pic of my Red Dwarf.. and it's a big difference since the last pic.. almost 3000 poly difference. This is going to come in at almost 6000 polies, apologies to those that can't run them at that level.

But I really like the difference..just have to fix the reg again.

And lastly, I was pretty sure that this wasn't ingame yet... and I kept getting bugged about this everytime I watched our cable sci-fi channel up here this week. (The movie is on Sunday I think). Decided to try something in prelude to doing a Feddy one of these days which will need the same basic design element in it, so here's Jupiter One from the original "Lost in Space":
(The textures are still WIP, but the mesh is finalized I think..)

So what do you think Lightdrone? I'm waiting with flaming pants on..

Red Dwarf model looks fantastic, but it's meant to have a small asteroid stuck in the side of it, I think! I'm sure it'd be easy to fix- take any SFC asteroid model, resize it and colour it brown, and stick it on. Voila- perfect Red Dwarf

Got to say, these models are pretty good. How long do they take, on average?

And, the most pressing question I have- where do you start work on them??

Some people wonder about critquing.. here's kind of what it does produce. I had to show my wife, and this update was the result. This is *almost* done.. just have to get the smoothing groups out of it so that it looks the same in SFC as it does in Max. But, here's what my Red Dwarf looks like now in Max.

And to answer a previous question.. it typically takes me about three days to get something at this point.. and it'll probably take me a day or so yet to get the smoothing groups to look like it does in Max. But this is my best (and most complex) to date..
