*salutes*

Been here, done this.  Snapped CD's, got rid of Internet at home, sold off computers.  Whatever you have to do to pull yourself free, its worth it.  Of course we all come back, but with a better perception of what is important, and how.

Chris,

What about Trek radio. You gonna keep broadcasting?

Probably not.. or at least not for a while. He briefly mentioned to me (via MSN) that his broadband connection was going soon.

Radio is on hold and uncertain.  The files lie on thier server and I can program it from here, but I didn't pay this month's bill, lol. I was going live once in a while for fun.  Yes I am losing broadband. Can't afford it right now.  Not even sure about dialup at this point. Serious life changes for sure.

Thanks again, everyone

Chris,

Talk to me bro. How much was the cost to run the station?

If connection is an issue, then would you be willing to send me the files so that once I have a second platform built I can host both an OP server and the radio.

Email me.

Best,
Jerry

Chris Jones, you have done a whole freaking lot for the community, and have enhanced countless peoples enjoyment of the game with your creations.  though you will be missed, it is all understood.  I as well am just returning from a nearly 8 month hiatus, though i had other reasons to be away.  best of luck on forging a bright destiny for you and your family.

Alas I have to take my leave of SFC for a while. The reason is simple, and is a tribute to Taldren. It takes up way too much of my time; to the point of my wife and I having serious discussions about it. I have decided to keep the peace in the family. The only SFC I'll be doing is the occasional OP LAN game with my son, an OP fan. He flies Lyran, a Lyran with a BPV of 1250, lol. With my son I created a Mod monster.

SFC2 and SFC3 are uninstalled at the moment. I'll no longer be able to help with beta testing of the OP and SFC3 patches.

It would be nice if I was 20 again and had more of my life ahead of me. The bottom line is the need to concentrate on money making ventures, of which I have some. I wish SFC was part of that, actually.

The Multi-Era Mod for for OP is officially on hold, if not cancelled. I had shipedit open the other day and realized something. That old spark is not there anymore.  It seemed like I was going through motions; and when that happens, adjustments need to be made.

I'll still support the mods on my site(s) via e-mail, and check in here once in a while. Support in my direction has been overwhelming, and I thank you for that.

Please keep my Captain's chair open,

Chris

Take care of what's important Chris.
We'll be here a few years at most, they're for life.

As for keeping you chair for you, others will step up to the plate, but there is only one Chris Jones.

A "Chris Jones Mod" was the 1st mod that I ever installed in my game. I learned how to use ShipEdit from watching your tutorial. I hope things work out for you and your family

Good Luck

Take Good Care Chris,

The Chris Jones MOD was the first MOD I ever installed on my game.

The MOD is great, and greater still was the support that Chris personally put not just into the MOD, but to the complete strangers playing it.

Chris Jones openned my eyes to MODed play.  In my opinion Chris Jones paved the way for MODs like TNZ & DOMWARS which have injected new life into the SFC III experience.

Enjoy your family and I wish you all the best in your new "profitable enterprises".

Finally and most imprtantly:

THANK YOU.

Azrael
