Topic: Conquest mode: disputed teritory (Read 1250 times)

O.K., I am slowly figuring out the conquest mode. But how or when do I change disputed sectors into my nations sector. I have a huge chunk of Romulan territory in the gray but I can't figure out how to change it to Fed. It seems like I have to wait for an encounter in said sector which comes by rarely. Can someone help me?

Just move out of the sector then back in. You will likely get a mission. If you win that, it'll go to Fed.

Tried that. Sometimes it works but most times it doesn't. I've turned like 15 sectors of Romulan territory grey and only 2 to blue.

Have you tried right clicking on the sector/hex to see its defence level? From memory it needs to be less than 5 (contested) in order to change it to your empire, after the next attack on that hex. Keep attacking the hex and checking the DV it should flip, if not then it is a problem with the map (unlikley if it is the single payer conquest map).
