Topic: Is D3 down or what? (Read 2690 times)

Every time I try to get on D3 the server selection screen loads about 3 servers and stops. Then a window pops up and says this:

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\Activision\SFC3\SFC3.exe

abnormal program termination

Is anyone else having the same issues? Does anyone know what is goin on? Everone else I have talked to has the same problem.

LOL, I don't even get that much. It boots me back into Windows without even giving me an error screen. I do get minor graphic problems and the inability to access the ALT-CTRL-DEL window, though.

Happens to me to! Same thing. Of course I un installed, re installed, and same result! I'm glad (i think) that others are haveing the same problem.

I read on another forum that someone may have put up a server name that is too long. Is that an issue or what?

it sounds like someone's server description is too long.. that has caused issues before in sfc2 as well.. the question is who and how can they be contacted.

i could be wrong.. but this sounds like the exact problem that has happened before.

Ive had that message all day!!!!! Frankly im fed up with Taldren, so many bugs, ive managed to overcome the CD Key in use thing and now this happens. IVe been tryin to fix it for hours now, what is causin it and when will it be fixed??????????? :S
To tell u the truth i think Activision and Taldren r selfish and jealous that they wont patch this game up because:

1. They cant be bothered-Selfish

2. Cant admit that their product hasnt turned out the way it should have been

3. Or just bein sheer lazy

This isnt a flame post or anythin, ive been readin this forum for months, but ive decided to make a new acc here now because i feel my opinions should be heard.

I wouldn't say this is a Taldren problem so much as the problem of an ignorant prick who puts up a server and then doesn't follow through making sure it FRELLING WORKS!

WHOEVER it is, WAKE UP and FIX what you've done before we start hunting you down!

Glad to see it is not me with the problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game 3 times. But now when I try to start the game it tells me I need direct X 8.1 or higher installed. I have 9.0a. It is not seeing my higher version of direct X. Any suggestions? Is it possible to uninstall direct X and start with 8.0 and work my way up. Im running XP pro. Thanks

Another problem has crept up at me on 11pm GMT. In the login screen, when it says Starting Directplay Host, it wont highlight the login button, im locked out from D3 :S:S This is becomin a bit of an issue
