Pretty cool mod ranks up there with P81's version, from what I can see so far.

More FASA models need to get done.

Thanx for comments and interest. texturing this model may take me a bit. combined with a lack of time and  presently working through a uvw tutorial it could be a week or two. By the way, this tutorial is very detailed if there is anyone who was getting started with uvw in Max i'd have a look. UVW Mapping Tutorial

That's a pretty reasonable mesh, although in some spots you can see some shading that indicates deformed areas probably from doing booleans.

Some excellent modelling there... I particularly like the engines and weapon detail/mounts on the winged defender.

Wow! One more for the FASA to SFC collection. IMHO, It looks like a proto-type Winged Defender to me.

Nicely done and thank you for sharing!

It mostly looks good.  You are missing all the underneath detail on it though.  It doesn't have a flat bottom, it has a round dish toward the front canted downa dn forward and then the engines are basically 2 tubes set up in the hull underneath and behind the dish.
I would post a pic of the miniature I have, but don't have a place to upload the pics to.

Other than that (which isn't shown in the drawings) it looks pretty good.
