Installing SFC:OP scripts help needed
« on: July 10, 2003, 08:43:20 am »
I've downloaded and extracted the  eaw_campaigns_for_OP_Scripts-20030330 files which Firesoul kindly pointed me at.

So I should have access to the EaW campaigns from within OP.  But how do I make the jump to get OP to look for and recognise all these lovely goodies ?  What location do they need stored in?

Thanks in advance

As long as the scripts and campaigns are in their correct directories, the campaigns will now be visible in the campaign selection window when you go to start a new campaign.
i.e.
C:\Program Files\Taldren Software Inc\Starfleet Command Orion Pirates\Assets\Scripts\Campaigns
and
C:\Program Files\Taldren Software Inc\Starfleet Command Orion Pirates\Assets\Scripts

All .MCT files go into Assets/Scripts/Campaigns
All the .SCR files go into Assets/Scripts/

Make sure SFC:OP isn't running while you do this since they're checked during start-up

Thanks for the quick answers, although I seem to be missing something.

The 16Meg zip (64meg on un-zipping) I have seems to only contain the following file types:
3 Applications (CreatScript.dll, RunScript.dll, Script ObjectWizardAddIn.dll)
1xAPS file
1xCLW file
many CPP files
many DSP files
a few DSW files
many H files
an icon file
some LIB files
NCB files
OPT files
PLG files
5 readme's (that don't help)
some SCC files
TEMPLATE files

These extract to numerous directories

no .MCT or .SCR files in sight.
Have I downloaded the right thing?  I fear not

Now if FS would give you a the compiler you'd be almost all set.
