New Sound mod for SFC3

Go to the TNZ News page of the Battleclinic to download the latest sound mod. It will work with any version of SFC3. Just download the zip file and replace two of the files in your ../SFC3/Assets/Sound folder with the ones in the zip file. The sounds changed are:

Pulse Phaser
Photon Torpedo
Quantum Torpedo
K-Photon Torpedo
Polaron Torpedo
Klingon Disruptor
Klingon Cloak
Klingon Decloak

Let me know if you like them or not.

I like them!  That Klingon cloak sound is just scary (the way it should be ).

These are the sounds that should've shipped with the retail game.

Somehow the decision was made at Taldren to give the weapons in the game (especially the heavy weapons) a chintzy, toy-like sound.  That didn't work on any level.  Much too cutesy.  The K-Photon sounded particularly pathetic.  These are supposed to be massive weapons of destruction, not Kenner spring-loaded plastic missle launchers.

This sound mod addresses the sound issue wonderfully.
