Want to get Voyager music in game. Got this coming weekend off and need a backup project just in case the weather is bad.

MusicMatch Jukebox will do it without the upgrade.
That's the one I use for all my ripping, converting and burning needs.

But.. winamp v2 itself will do it, if you chance the output filter to the diskwriter..
Not sure about V3.

atheorhaven is correct.  I used dbPowerAmp to convert MP3 files to WAV files for SFC1 in order to listen the appropriate Star Trek music when playing TOS, TMP, TWOK, TSFS, or TUC skirmish missions I created.  My source for the Star Trek MP3s is www.trekconnection.com .  It is easy to download.  For example to download the MP3 File "Klingon_Battle_24.mp3" change  http://www.trekconnection.com/sounds/files/mp3/st1/Klingon_Battle_24.m3u
to http://www.trekconnection.com/sounds/files/mp3/st1/Klingon_Battle_24.mp3 press the "Enter" Key and your Windows Media Player will start playing this MP3.  Click on "File" and then  click on "Save As" to save it  to your hard drive.  This site even has 13 MP3s from the Star Trek Voyager televison series.  After I converted the MP3 files to WAV files (with the 16 Bit Stereo Format or 16 Bit Mono Format) I then used my Windows98 Sound Recorder to merge 3 "Star Trek 1:  The Motion Picutre" WAV files ("Klingon Battle",  "Total Logic" (Planet Vulcan music), and "The Cloud")  and increased the volume 100% (or 125% or 150%) in order to hear it clearly and saved it as "AMBkli.WAV"  (Klingon Ambient Wave File).  When converting these 3 particular MP3 files to WAV files I used the 16 Bit Mono Format to keep AMBkli.WAV under the 17 Megabyte limit (The 8 Bit Stereo Format sounded too distorted).  If your WAV file is too large SFC1 will not play it.

Hope this helps, Enjoy the music,

I use a bit of software called Goldwave to do all my sound editing. It's a very powerful sound editor, along the lines of SoundForge (a prefessional sound editing software used for making hollywood movies) but it's a bit simpler and more user friendly. The best part is it's shareware. You can use the fully functional trial version forever, but it will only let you perform so many actions before you have to restart the program. This software is something you can use to rip music from DVD's, music CD's, or off of your computer or your television, it can record and play back in virtually every sound format known to civilized man, and it has hundreds of sound editing features that you can use with one click buttons that you can configure to your liking. I used it to make the sounds mod I just released for SFC3 on the TNZ News webpage. I took some sounds from the Nemesis DVD, some from the internet, some from television, some from other games I was playing while recording at CD quality level, and some that I recorded with a microphone and distorted with Goldwave's awesome features. you can mix sounds together, seperate lyrics from music, and do a TON of other things. And if you want the full registered version, it costs just $40. This is probly the best $40 I have spent on any non-game software on my hard drives. I can't imagine being without it. It's the "Photoshop" or "3D Studio Max" of sound editing. I've used it more than any other software that I can think of. And since it's useful beyond just game mods, the $40 is easy to justify. Try the trial version, you will be amazed by what you get for $40.
