SFC3: Dizzies

I was told recently that at least for Romulans, if not for everyone, that there is a problem where the type "F" disruptors do 1/2 damage as compared to the standard dizzies.  Is there any truth to this?  I dont' remember seeing anything about it before, or about this being one of the "fixes" to the patch when the game is released...

Any comments?

The fast firing weapon types do less damage than the standard ones. There is no problem with that since they almost fire twice as much in the same time. Romulan disruptor damage has been increased in the beta patch since it has unbalanced.

Thanks a lot Kevlar, for some reason I was thinking they did the same amount of damage per hit.

That is not the problem.  The problem is Romulan Fast disruptors do half the damage they are SUPPOSED to do.

Is that across the board for all Romulan disruptors or just the 4's?  And this problem only affects Romulans?

This problem only affects the Romulan Fast disruptors of all levels, so IF, IIF, IIIF and IVF.

Not that I, being a Romulan, would have any use for them, since they are not made for cloak H&R, but for the klingon way of fighting. But since I am not a klingon........

That Problem has already been addressed in the beta patch. Rom disruptors did about 2-3 points less damage than they were supposed to do. Disruptors, phasers and such go on the idea that phaser charging will slightly hinder the strength of the weapons. It is not 1/2 the power of the slower recharging ones so in the long run faster recharging phasers and disruptors are the only clear ones to use. LOL 2 disruptor 2's, 1 mito beam and 2 medium plasma are deadly you just need to learn how to play with your rom not stacking up weapons and using up all your power!
