Which versions of the EAW and OP APIs are the best to use? Also, Evil Dave "Nuclear" Wessels

, or anyone else who happens to know, which versions of the APIs are you using to write your current campaign scripts?

http://klingon.stasis.ca/sources_and_utils/SFCOP_API_R2.zip , SFC2:OP API from Taldren, rev2.2 (size: 5.5mb)

Those are on my sources and utils page, on my site. I also have some pre-packaged build environments there.

Yep, I've been using Firesoul's prepackaged build environments: they're very handy for cleaning things up when I've been screwing around with too many settings

I'm definately going to check them out. Thanks to both of you for responding. I wanted to make sure that I was using the same API as you guys.

I actually didn't expect anyone to download it and use it. I had put it up as a personal backup in a place I could probably rely on being able to fetch it.

.. and the installation instructions are easy too.
1- install VS 6.0
2- run SP5 for VS 6.0
3- unzip wanted API into desired directory.
4- copy over include files from API into VC98/INCLUDE directory

You're done.

These things are a great idea! I wonder if Taldren & you would consider including them in any future patches? Or, at least a link in the readme?
