Hey, I need some SP help here!!

I'm currently playing the Romulan Campaign, and I'm stuck in a mission where you must transport a bomb to an asteroid and then wait until it explodes, so you can travel to a base nearby to rescue some of your romulan people (something like that)... If my memory serves well, the name of the mission is: SNEAKERS.

Well, well... I transport the bomb to the asteroid.. and then I wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.

Wait...

Nothing happens next and I can't reach the base because the f* bomb doesn't explode (the explosion is supposed to lure away the defending ships).

I'm using the newest patch, Admiral Level.

I'd appreciate any hint/advice you can give me.

Bomb explodes once you move out of range.

Just fly very, very slowly towards the base. It'll happen eventually. Make sure you keep up with what the officers tell you!

Oh, well, I warped away from everything right after I placed the bomb into the asteroid.

Next time I'll do as you say, but it doesn't look like it is gonna work. IMO the bomb should countdown before it explodes, so you can have a pretty good idea of how long you must wait.

It makes no sense she won't explode because I warped away from the asteroid and the base (I still remained in the sector, of course, duh, hehehe).
