Tech Question - Voices
« on: January 29, 2003, 10:11:39 am »
I need some help here.

Yesterday I upgraded all my Microsoft stuff (windows, media player, etc).

I also ran Nortons System Check and it made some "corrections".

Now, I don't hear the voices while in combat.  The "reinforcing forward shields", "warp drive engaged", "we've taken light damage, sir".  That sort of thing.

What subdirectory are the voices supposed to go in and has anyone else had this problem?

Any help would be appreciated!

Open up your Activision folder and look for the SFC.ini  double click and look for voices. set it to 3 and it should work....Then play...

This is a problem that happens from time to time. Especially on the D 3 or extensive playing time.  The first time it happened to me I simply re-installed the game.  Now  I play with the ini file...

I think it is caused by adjusting the master volume, voices, sound, music... something.. thats when it disapeared on me first

lol.. throw on some music and watch it dance, it almost always does so to the beat.

if you want something else to do, throw on the YATTA video and watch the dancer hehe.

Wow, thanks a lot Korus.  I have been having this problem with the voices recently too.  It would work after reinstalling but I would always change some sound settings and then the voices wouldn't work.  Now I know how to fix it without reinstalling.  Thank you.
